Ye Vagabonds – All Tied Together (Vinyl)

The fourth album from brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn, released in January 2026 as their third for Rough Trade's River Lea imprint, and their most personal work yet. Recorded live in a house in Galway with producer Philip Weinrobe of Big Thief and Adrianne Lenker renown, it marks the fullest shift yet from the tradition bearing that made their name to their own songs, though the two feel all tied together here. "All these songs have addresses," says Diarmuid. "They're about specific locations and specific people."

Opener On Sitric Road remembers squat life in Stoneybatter with more warmth than roughness, Gravity unfolds as an Eno-inspired collage of synths and bowed bass, and the closing Forget About the Rain gathers cello, fingerpicking and those brotherly harmonies into something quietly transcendent. Shahzad Ismaily, Sam Amidon and Kate Ellis are among the house band, and a strong sense of home runs through everything, past digs and inner refuge alike.
