Ultan O'Brien - Dancing The Line (CD / Vinyl)

Debut solo album from the Clare fiddle player, released on Nyahh Records in March 2025. O'Brien plays across sessions and bands including Skipper's Alley and Slow Moving Clouds, and here uses an alternatively tuned alto fiddle for extra resonance and growl. Fourteen tracks mixing original compositions with material drawn from the Forde Collection, Alan Lomax field recordings and players like Nell Galvin and Packie Manus Byrne.
