Tony MacMahon - Tony MacMahon (CD)

Solo album from the Ennis born button accordion player, originally recorded for Gael Linn in 1972 and reissued on CD. MacMahon played in the press and draw style and was best known for his slow airs, later becoming a familiar face at RTÉ where he presented The Pure Drop and Come West Along the Road and started The Long Note on radio. Recorded with almost no accompaniment beyond his own bass notes.
