Recorded at the Putney institution in May 2015, at the launch gig for The Dark Dance, their first studio album in 42 years. What could have been a nostalgia exercise turns out to be nothing of the sort. Leo O'Kelly and Sonny Condell move between new material like Ricochet and I Have Known Love and songs they first sang before either of them turned 25, and the join is seamless. Time Is Like a Promise opens the set sounding as strange and lovely as it did in 1971, The Lady I Love revives a lost 1972 single, and Eyelids Into Snow reaches over to Sonny's Scullion catalogue. The chemistry between the two never went anywhere, it just waited. Proof that some partnerships don't age, they season.
