Released on Setanta in 1997 and produced largely by David Couse of A House, Grand Parade is the third album from Cork's best-loved band and, for many of the faithful, their finest hour. Now pressed on vinyl for the very first time, it arrives on Tangerine Orange, finally giving one of the great lost Irish guitar pop records the format it always deserved.

The songs still sound like sunshine. Colours remains the band's signature tune, an unstoppable rush of melody that became an anthem back home, while Indian Ocean, Russian Ship and the wistful Tony Cochrane show a band with far more craft and heart than the early novelty tag ever allowed. Warm, melodic and quietly melancholy under the jangle, it is the sound of the Franks at their absolute peak.
