On Draw The Outline, Sorcha Richardson leans into softness and quiet revelation. Written largely from a small bedroom in West Kerry, at the foot of a mountain and a short walk from the sea, it marks a shift away from the sharper storytelling of her earlier records towards something more fluid and interior. Gone are the synth-led textures, replaced by acoustic guitar, woodwinds, saxophone, Hammond organ and piano. The songs find their intensity in small moments: August sunlight, icy roads, orange moons, the strange loneliness of being misunderstood. Warm, close and finely detailed, with echoes of Feist and Aldous Harding, it's her most open-ended and quietly confident record yet. As Richardson puts it, "an instruction to start without needing to know where you're going."
