This recording is commonly believed to be one of the benchmark records of Irish music, which influenced the popularity and style of traditional music from the late 1960s to today.
The musicians supporting Ó Riada later on became the inspirational Chieftains. Includes O'Neill's March (Dearg Doom), Do Bhí Bean Uasal (Carrickfergus) and Mná na hÉireann (Adapted by The Christians for their hit record "Words", used in score to Barry Lyndon).
This is a landmark recording. Completely remastered and re-issued in high quality package. This release also includes three bonus tracks available for the first time.
