Landless - Luireach (Vinyl)

Luireach is the second album from Landless, the Irish quartet of Lily Power, Méabh Meir, Ruth Clinton and Sinéad Lynch. Drawing on centuries-old ballads as well as more recently written folk songs, their music is built around four voices woven into something rich, dark and patient, sometimes unaccompanied, sometimes carried by the subtlest of instrumentation. The result is spellbinding and gorgeous, music that rewards stillness and pulls you deep into its world. As with their acclaimed 2018 debut Bleaching Bones, the album is produced by John 'Spud' Murphy, whose work with Lankum and ØXN has helped define the sound of contemporary Irish folk.
