The debut album from the Dundalk five-piece, originally released in May 2018 on Pizza Pizza Records and long out of press between runs, with originals now trading hands for silly money on Discogs. Recorded between Start Together Studios in Belfast and at home in Dundalk, it announced one of the most singular guitar bands Ireland has produced in years, and earned a Choice Music Prize nomination for Irish Album of the Year.
Katie Ball's spectral vocals drift over guitars that rarely sound like guitars, twisted into industrial scrapes, dub echoes and walls of noise on tracks like 'Boo', 'Pigs' and 'Deaf'. It's shoegaze pulled somewhere darker and stranger, the blueprint for what the band would push further on Heart Under. This pressing comes on 180g black vinyl with printed inner sleeve and lyric insert.
