Æ MAK – Folk Songs For Mama And Papa (Vinyl)

Album from Aoife McCann, released on Spacer Records in May 2026 and a marked turn away from her earlier art pop towards something plainer and more spiritual. Written in Berlin over a winter spent living alone, drawing on 60s and 70s folk and baroque pop, with gospel leaning organ and layered harmony. Recorded partly in a friend's farmhouse kitchen in Ravensdale forest and partly at her family home in the Cooley Mountains, co-produced with Brían Mac Gloinn and featuring Cian Hanley on drums and Kevin Corcoran on piano and bass. Includes a reading of Dylan's Don't Think Twice, It's All Right.
