A Collection of Slow Airs by Some Very Fine Fiddlers (CD)

Second instalment of Nyahh Records’ Trad Series, released 1 March 2025. Ten fiddlers each recorded a slow air themselves on phone or digital recorder, kept warm and roomy with no effects or heavy mixing, closer to a field recording than a studio session. Slow airs are played for listening rather than dancing, contemplative and melancholy, with a style rooted in sean-nós singing.
