'Ancestral Love' builds from downtrodden to euphoric on off-kilter drumming and shoegazing vocals, while 'Dunes' offers lush chamber pop with harmonies arcing back on themselves. Mixed with Brendan Jenkinson (Villagers, John Francis Flynn) and mastered from quarter-inch analog tape, it was designed to be heard on vinyl.
